Making music Drawing pictures

We have been in Littleham.

Ryan, a talented young graphic designer has been learning photoshop and developing some of his graffiti work on the computer for his poster.

We also made some music for the radio stings and lots of mess with printing.

All the ideas for the posters are shaping up and looking great.

Ryans graffiti goes digital

Ryan has been working hard and doing stuff in his own time for the project.  It was great to see and we really want to support him in his hope of being a graphic designer.

The Private View

Finally it was the private view of all the work we had done.

It was an unbelievable night.  The Exeter Phoenix was packed with people and the atmosphere was amazing.  The work touched everyone who saw it and it was fantastic to see it’s effect on people.

Everyone who took part was deservedly very proud of what we have all achieved.

Thanks to the Phoenix for letting us take over the main gallery space, thanks to everyone who came along and most importantly thanks to all the young people for their fantastic work and ideas.

We are completely lit up by the whole thing. It’s great.

The Radio Show

We hosted our own ‘Hopes and Fears’ Radio Show on Phonic FM.  After a bit of a shaky start we all really got into it and it was great to see young people from Littleham and the Deaf Academy getting to know each other and sharing in their pride for the project.  Kofi even learnt how to ask Johnathan who fancied who in British Sign Language.

Printing in Littleham

We had a crazy session in Littleham screen printing all the prints, making lots of noise and lots of mess.

By the end we had a carpet of art work.

Charlie Digs It

We worked with Charlie on Bramble ward to make his poster about all the things he wants to dig up when he gets older.

Charlie used pictures of himself, scans of his drawings and photoshop to make his poster.  It was lots of fun.

Bea’s Poster

We worked with Bea doing some drawings and coming up with a sentence for her poster.

But in the end decided to take a photo of her.  Bea took lots of photos of Peter to get an angle we liked and then we took a photo of Bea from there in the same position.

Everyone agreed that Bea looks better than Peter.
